What We Believe

We are not too late to harness this new wave of invention for the better.

AI is perhaps the most advanced and well discussed innovation today, but many others could have breakthroughs with even more potential to change the world for the better or for worse: e.g., bioengineering, quantum computing, new battery technologies, hydrogen/fusion, alternatives to critical minerals.

The range of potential outcomes is still enormous – whether in increasing perceived trust and security from all-time low levels; fighting disinformation; creating jobs; improving outcomes in health, education, or the environment; or in reducing waste.

There is much more to do than simply wait for the capital markets to develop, or to regulate. We can develop talent and provide incentives for people to work on hard problems; we can channel multiple forms of capital to build inventions that help people; and we can build the infrastructure to ensure they succeed.
